ACTIVITIES AROUND THE YEAR   
A rented cottage makes an excellent base for just relaxing and enjoing our clean nature and fresh air. Our four very distinct seasons offer different activities.
In spring you can observe nature awaking again and listen to the abundance of birdsong. In summer you can admire the light nights as well as swimming and other water sports. In autumn you can pick fresh wild berries and mushrooms growing in a clean environment. In winter the white fields of snow are perfect for skiing. You can also go ice-fishing right off the shore of your cottage.

Kitee town and other regions offers a lots of things to do and see. It is easy to make day trips by car to see the sights or you can take part in the events.

ENJOY THE LAKE BY SWIMMING AND BOATING
You can swim in your private beach. These are good for children also.
All hauses have own rowing-boat. Make short boat trips to the lake and visit in the small islands of Orivesi lake.

If you like canoeing, it is possible to rent canoes from the region.


BERRIES AND MUSHROOMS
You can freely pick wild berries and mushrooms in the forest as you fish. The berry and mushroom season begins in July. This is covered by Everyman´s rights.

FISHING - TRY TO CATCH THE BIG FISH
Our lake region is idea for angling, jigging and trolling. The best fishing seasons are Spring and Autumn. The most important catches are perch, pike, pike-perch, burbot and bream.
In winter ice-fishing is very popular and easy. You need a rod, a jig and an ice drill for ice fishing.
Also we can bring you to net fishing by boat or by snowmobile in winter. The net fishing is a traditional Finnish fishing method throughout the year.
The fishing equipments are available for our clients and we sell fishing licences to our region. You can rent a motorboat 4 ps for fishing, 20 eur/day.

THE FINNISH WAY TO ENJOY THE SAUNA
Sweating in a Sauna and whipping your skin with a birch whisk. Swimm in the lake between your sessions in the sauna. In winter you can roll in the snow or swimm in a hole cut from ice in the lake. After sauna relax by frying a tasty sausage on the grill and enjoying a cold drinks.		 HIKING IN NATURE
You can go hiking or Nordic walking along marked forest trails or just walk in the forest. Choose from short hiking trails that takes a few hours to more challenging treks.

MAGIC OF SNOW
We offer you a possibility for snowmobile driving through snowy forests and the wilderness in Eastern Finland. Interestig and varied snowmobiling routes are planned with environmental considerations in mind. Snowmobiling offers a superb mix of exhilarating speed, winter landscapes and physical exercise. Modern snowmobiles are easy to handle, and once you have learned the basics, you can also venture out to explore the countryside independently.
You can hire snowmobiles through us. The rates are 150 -190 eur/day (include insurance for snowmobile, clothes, route map, full driving instructions). The guided safaris are also available.

Cross-country skiing is very popular in Finland. We have about 3 km ski trail near cottages. If you need more challenge you find more ski trails from Kitee town (16 km)

The nearest ski centres are Mustavaara (100km) and Koli (150km) for downhill skiers and snowboarders. Info: www.mustavaara.fi
